The following information is stored on your device to provide playback. When you connect a media server, the app sends the connection information needed for authentication and playback to that server; Emby and Jellyfin progress and favorites can sync with your own server. These are separate from our analytics:

• Media server configuration (server addresses, ports, usernames, passwords)
• Playback history
• Favorites and playlists
• Playback preferences (playback speed, subtitle settings, etc.)
• Locally cached thumbnails

This data is entirely under your control - uninstalling the app removes local app data; it does not delete data on your media servers or analytics already received by us.

1.2 Information We Collect

To improve app experience and stability, we collect the following information through our analytics service:

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version
• App Usage Data: App launch count, feature usage frequency, session duration
• Crash and Error Logs: To help us identify and fix issues (on iOS, this includes crash and hang diagnostics provided by the system)
• Playback Technical Information: Whether playback succeeded, video codec and bit depth, whether hardware decoding was used, time-to-first-frame range, subtitle rendering method, and media source type (e.g. Emby, SMB). Values are fixed options or numeric ranges only, used to tell whether the player works correctly on different devices
• Random Installation Identifier: A persistent random identifier generated by the app to de-duplicate statistics and associate events with the same installation; it is not derived from a hardware identifier

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Providing Core Services: Connecting to your media servers and playing media content
• Improving User Experience: Remembering your preferences and providing personalized experience
• App Optimization: Analyzing usage patterns to improve app features and performance
• Technical Support: Diagnosing issues and providing technical support services

3. Information Storage and Security

3.1 Data Storage Location

• Local Data: Your configuration information (such as server credentials and playback history) is stored in a local database within the app sandbox, accessible only by this app
• Analytics Data: Usage and diagnostic statistics associated with the installation identifier are stored on our servers

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

• Local data is stored in the app sandbox, isolated from other apps
• Analytics does not include media files, server credentials or the titles of videos you watch; it does include the installation identifier, request IP and the information described in Section 1.2

• Legal Requirements: Responding to lawful legal processes or government requests
• Service Providers: Sharing necessary information with third-party service providers who help us operate the app (they are bound by strict confidentiality agreements)

• Right to Access: You can view stored configuration information in the app settings
• Right to Delete: You can delete media source configurations, playback history, and cached data at any time
• Right to Choose: You can choose not to use certain features to limit data collection

How to Delete Your Data

• Clear cached data in "Settings" > "Storage"
• Clear logs in "Settings" > "Debug"
• Delete media sources to remove related configuration information
• Uninstalling the app removes local app data, but does not delete records on your media servers or analytics already received by us

This app requires access to your local network to connect to media servers within your LAN (such as SMB/CIFS file shares, Emby servers, etc.). This permission is used only for:

• Discovering and connecting to media servers on your local network
• Streaming media content from servers you have authorized

We do not collect or transmit your network information to external servers through this permission.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
